In regular workplace situations, all three dimensions of trust - Ability, Integrity, and Loyalty - are expressed as a combined whole, through four key
behaviors. These are Professional Support, Openness, Managerial Competence, and Communication.
Trust when expressed as Professional support is charachterized as equal emphasis on both, Ability and Loyalty. Ability refers to behaviors which
indicates the degree of skill we employ to accomplish something and Loyalty denotes the genuineness of our intention and the degree of risk we are
willing to take, to help a person deal with a situation. Trust expressed as Managerial Competence signifies that as a manager we need to build trust
through all the key dimensions - Ability, Loyalty and Integrity. This means that the success of a manager lies in how well balanced is our expression of
trust across all the three dimensions. If Professional support represents how we reach out to every individual person, Managerial Competence indicates
how balanced is that reaching out. Trust expressed as Openness signifies the degree of Integrity and Loyalty that we bring into our relation. This means
that besides displaying support and commitment towards others, we also focus on truthfulness, honesty, transparency, reliability and consisitency in our
behaviours. Trust expressed through Communication is equally balanced between Ability and Integrity. As ability our communication serves as an
important medium of Giving trust. Here, communication not only implies our verbal communication, but also includes behaviors that distinctly
demonstrate our capabilities and skills. Note that Communication is also charachterized by Integrity, indicating the degree of transparency, truthfulness,
and congruence we maintain between our words and actions.

Interpreting your scores:
From your score, it can be interpreted that your expression of Trust is most effective in context of “Openness” and “Managerial Competence”, while your
challenges lie most the domain of Communication.
The report indicates that while expressing trust through “Openness” you put adequate emphasis on Integrity. Similarly, when demonstrating Trust through
Managerial Competence, you have a well balanced approach between Integrity and Loyalty. This means that when you play on these two strengths, you
are more likely to use Loyalty and Integrity to gain trust as well as to give trust to the other person. When compared together with your scores on
Professional Support, the report indicates that in work environments, you are more likely to build trust with peers and superiors most by demonstrating
Integrity and Loyalty. This approach would work well in old and mature relationships where you and the other person know each other over a reasonable
period of time, but may yield less than expected results in relations which are new and in formative stages.
Watchouts: Note that at any work place, “Ability” is a very important dimension on
which you receive and give trust. Since your scores on Ability under
Professional Support and Managerial Competencies are at mean or less
than mean, it can be interpreted that you may face challenges in receiving
trust through “Ability”. This does not mean that your competencies are not
upto the mark or you doubt your comptencies.
This only means that for receiving trust, you should also practice paying
Your attention to the “Ability” dimension of trust, by demonstrating behaviors
that make your key skills and competencies, more visible.
Balance Also note that the first medium of expressing trust is Communication itself,
which comprises of Ability and Integirty. Therefore, when giving Trust,
your emphasis on “Ability” is well placed, but it should not substitute your
recognition of “Integrity” expressed as trust in those communication. This
means that you practice giving as much importance to sincerity and
transparency expressed as trust in the communication, as you give to
“Ability” expressed as trust, in such communications.
